The U.S. Civil Rights Trail was a labor of love.
It began by helping shape the Alabama Civil Rights Trail and then leading the expansion into the U.S. Civil Rights Trail—working with the Alabama Tourism Department and partner states to build a comprehensive campaign and website that catalyze civil rights tourism and education. The platform pairs authentic stories with an interactive map, itineraries, and classroom-to-road-trip resources, guiding respectful visitation. From Selma’s Edmund Pettus Bridge and Birmingham’s 16th Street Baptist Church to Memphis’s Lorraine Motel, we invited travelers to arrive informed—and communities to feel seen.
